Ragaglitazar story - some thoughts
It was extremely disappointing to read that Novo Nordisk has decided to suspend the clinical development of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories PPAR-gamma and PPAR-alpha dual acting insulin sensitizer Ragaglitazar (DRF 2725) which Reddy’s Labs (DRL) had out-licenced to Novo Nordisk in 1997, due to the emergence of bladder tumours in one mouse and several rats treated with Ragaglitazar in development studies.

Rodent studies not commenced late: Novo
The Danish diabetes major Novo Nordisk strongly refuted the allegations that the company has not acted appropriately in connection with the ragaglitazar clinical trials.
