Peoples’ Commission to frame Patents (3rd Amendment) Bill
THE Peoples’ Commission on Patent Laws for India after releasing the report here on January 28,2003, has now taken up the task to frame the draft of Patents (Third Amendment) Bill.

No extension on Schedule M implementation: DCGI
The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) is not in favour of granting extension to implementing Schedule M guidelines. The last date to implement Schedule M requirements is 31 December 2003.

Hyderabad turns hot as formulations hub
Hyderabad, which is regarded as the bulk drug capital of India, is today booming in formulations business. The total production of formulations in Andhra Pradesh during 2001-2002, on a conservative estimate, amounted to over Rs 2500 crore.
