Seminar on spurious drugs
THE Indian Drug Manufacturers Association
(IDMA) jointly with the Organisation of Pharmaceu-tical Producers
of India (OPPI); Pharmaceuticals and Allied Manufacturers and Distributors
Assocation Ltd (PAMDAL); Indian Pharma-ceutical Alliance (IPA) and
All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggist (AIOCD) is organising
a seminar on ‘‘Spurious Drugs-Its magnitude and what needs
to be done to contain it’’. It will be held on 5 April,
2003 at Hotel Lands End (formerly known as Regent Hotel), Bandra,
Mumbai. A galaxy of speakers will address the key issues. For further

Second Indo-Latin American Pharma Meet
THE Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
is organising the second Indo-Latin American Pharma Meet (Seminars
cum Buyer Seller Meets) on 19-20 May, 2003 in Mumbai and 22-23 May,
2003 in Hyderabad. The Meet is being organised in close consultation
with the Ministry of Commerce, the Indian Embassies in Latin America
and CII’s own networks and partnerships in Latin America. The
Meet is being organised with the following objectives:
- To enable drugs & pharma manufacturers
of India to establish first hand contacts with buyers from over
eight Latin American countries without incurring the cost of travelling
to all these countries.
- To obtain in depth information on the
export potential, procedures, regulatory and registration requirement
for exporting drugs & pharma products. For further details
