TB programme inaccessible to patients
Even as the country observed the World TB Day on March 24, 2003,
the 10th anniversary of Tuberculosis being declared a global emergency
by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Directly Observed Treatment,
Shortcourse (DOTS) programme under Revised National Tuberculosis
Control Programme (RNTCP) has become inaccessible to a large section
of the population, according to experts.

snaps JV with Wockhardt for Rs 87-crore super specialty hospital
The Maharashtra government has taken a decision to terminate its
joint venture (JV) agreement with Wockhardt for setting up a super-specialty
hospital at GT Hospital in South Mumbai with an investment of Rs
87 crore.
