Ciftech launches software for pharma retail outlets

Ciftech Solutions Pvt Ltd, a leading technology
solutions provider based in Bangalore has launched CIFT Pharma,
a software for retail chemists and druggists. The VAT compliant
software is easy to use for retail pharmacists addressing the requirements
of the retail pharmacies and also pharmacies in the hospital to
automate their purchases, sales processes and inventory including
accounting, says Nagendra G L, CEO of Ciftech Solutions.
CIFT Pharma software has great relevance
to chemists to handle the activities like billing, stock maintenance,
supplier accounts bank transactions etc.
CIFT
pharma has a unique feature of maintaining different sales account
for controlled drugs and non medical items. Flexible item master
of CIFT pharma eases handling of medicines and non medicines in
user friendly way.
This integrated solution will
become the order of the day in the next two years and eliminate
human errors in data entry, asserts Nagendra because
in future a single window vendor will be in great demand.
The new product has applications in sales of medicines, stock maintenance,
stock entry through automated purchase order, billing purchase orders,
handling accounts and other various others stock, sales and MIS
reports and database administration.
Today not more than 20% of
the retail chemists are geared up to install such products. Of the
total 4000 retails outlets we have already had talks with very few
of them. We aim to bring freight free system in entire pharmacy
retail outlets, says Nagendra.
CIFT Pharma is being successfully installed
in few cities of Karnataka including Bangalore, Mysore and Davanagere.
Ciftech sees vast potential in this business with the implementation
of VAT. Says Nagendra, The market for IT in pharma will
grow to about Rs 200 crores in the next two years. We hope that
in the next one year atleast 10 per cent of the citys retail
pharma outlets will use our services. We are planning atleast about
400 installations in Bangalore in the next one year.
The company plans to take its pharma product
to six more places in the state and outside including Nagpur in
Maharashtra, Salem in Tamilnadu and is planning multiple installation
in Hubli in Karnataka in the next four to six months. The development
centre of the company has a strong team of 25 dedicated engineers
and plans to expand to 100 by the end of the year.
We plan to make investments
to about Rs 20 million and hope to achieve Rs 100 million revenues
in the next two years, says Nagendra. Ciftech plans
to offer a dozen more products for the pharma and healthcare sector.
Its existing product portfolio include CIFTlab, a software for diagnostic
labs, CIFTclinic software for healthcare and CIFThealth for total
solution for hospital automation.
