AstraZeneca India launches new therapy for asthma
ASTRAZENECA Pharma India Ltd, the marketing company a leading pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, will participate in the global clinical trial programme for asthma therapy and plans to conduct clinical trial on Indian patients to get Indian data for single inhaler therapy on asthma. The global trials are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2004.

NPIL to introduce three biotech drugs from new partnership
The country’s second largest pharma company in terms of market share Nicholas Piramal India Ltd (NPIL) last week announced here the introduction of two biotech drugs from its latest collaboration with US based Biogen Idec Inc and Italian drug maker Chiesi Farmaceutici.
