Clean-in-place

Clean-In-Place (CIP) is defined as the automated cleaning of process equipment, vessels, piping and inline devices with manual setup and shutdown and or no operator intervention during cleaning. CIP Technology involves the use of chemicals, sterilents, high-pressure pumps, spray nozzles and spray balls and aseptic design principles to ensure that large-scale process are free of the dirt, organic contaminants and microorganism.

The washing process consists of : Pre-rinse conducted with cold water. Detergent wash, Acid/Alkaline wash, Wash down rinse and Final wash with hot water or dm water.

The CIP system is fully automated, but the washing process can be carried out manually as well. The washing process is controlled via the operation panel on the CIP-unit.

cGMP diaphragm valve

IEWI offer cGMP Diaphragm Valve to be installed in DM Water or WFI Hot or Cold Loop Systems and can replace conventional "Y" or two Bends and "T" design. The valve is fabricated from SS 304 / 316 duly electropolished to 240 # surface finish and hydro tested to 7 bar. The diaphragm seat is of Silicon or Viton or

EPDM with an option for teflon lining steam sterilizible to 1200 C.

The valve is of sanitary design without dead legs. The process fluid flows to the valve, as demand warrants, the valve is opened providing an uncontaminated sample. The valve is oriented in the vertical position. For horizontal application "T" type GMP valve is recommended.

High shear mixer

The new mixer emulsifiers can produce sub-micron emulsions faster and less expensively. Due to the rotor/ stator generator design, they can also match the emulsions produced by many high pressure homogenisers, according to the manufacturers. The mixer emulsifiers are said to be priced far lower, demand much less maintenance and produce higher throughput.

The new rotor/ stator generator operates with extremely high tip speeds - upto 8000 FPM. The intense shear applied by the rotor/ stator rapidly reduces droplet size and in most applications only a single pass is needed.

Blister strips cartoning machine

It is an automatic intermittent cartoning machine with a collating system which is the heart of the machine. All the functions of this machine are same as the PRO-180 except that this is an intermittent motion machine specifically meant for collating & cartoning blister strips. This machine has the capacity of cartoning upto 60 cartons per minute depending upon the number of blister strips to be collated (speed reduces to 30 cartons per minute when 10 blister strips have to be collated and cartoned). The collation is totally PLC controlled & can collate any number of blister strips to be cartoned.

This can be linked & synchronised to any blister strip packing machine using a conveyor attachment. Besides blister strips the machine can also handle items such as tubes, bottles, vials, ampoules, soaps & inhalers. It can be used for feeding leaflet, droppers (ink dropper / beak type) using respective infeed arrangement for each of the products..
