Eon Soft launches data management solution for pharma

Sonia Rebello - Bangalore

Eon Soft, a Bangalore-based web company recently launched iNetPharma, a database management solution targeted towards pharma companies. Profiling every player in the pharmaceutical hierarchy, the solution help to automate Professional Sales Representative (PSR) activities. It also automates the reporting processes thus streamlining the entire marketing system.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharath Chander, managing director, Eon Soft, said, ‘‘With the launch of iNetPharma, pharma companies who saw the off-line demonstration, realised the advantage of a database managed solution to manage the field force of the industry. The advantages to the pharma company became apparent and companies have now started asking for Application Service Provider (ASP) based solution to manage the field force.’’

By subscribing to iNetPharma, a company can have on-line information on call details like the number of products which were detailed or sampled, claim settlements, set targets, sample statistics, etc.

‘‘iNetPharma does not need email ids or outlook express. It is not necessary to be a computer genius, just basic knowledge on computers will do. A day’s zonewise briefing session for each state separately is carried out and after the staff list is identified, it takes about 2-4 weeks for implementation,’’ said Chander.

The solution is first of its kind in the country and is cost effective. “The initial costs can be as low as Rs 200 per user based on the subscription plan, which the user selects. Another option provided is that a company can subscribe on trial basis for one quarter for as low as Rs 64,000 for hundred users,” said Chander. iNetPharma comes with free maintenance charges.

Eon Soft is a global HP business partner and has few other products for the IT industry. The company now plans to launch front line manager’s module, product manager’s module and managing director’s module for the pharma industry by 2005.
