Taxes account for 35 per cent of drugs price: IDMA
If one goes by the analysis of the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) it is prudent to bring down the effect of multiple taxation on medicines rather than moving the basket of 300 odd essential drugs under price control.

Pharma trade blames state, industry for ‘high’ retail prices
Over five lakh pharmaceutical retail traders represented by the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) on Monday blamed the government and the industry for ’high’ generic drug prices, seeking to “clear the public misconception” it alleged the two entities spread in the media.
