AIDCOC annual convention on October 10, 2004
THE Eighth Annual Convention of the All India Drugs Control Officer’s Confederation (AIDCOC), is scheduled for October 10, 2004, in New Delhi, at the FICCI auditorium. The theme of the conference is Role of Regulatory Officers in Healthcare. The chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit will inaugurate the event, it is learnt.

Wockhardt Hospital conducts Wockathon 2004
Wockhardt Heart Hospital based in Mulund recently organised a 5 km Happy Heart Race ‘Wockathon 2004’ on the eve of the World Heart Day. The theme on this occasion was children, adolescents and heart diseases. The race was inaugurated by the Sheriff of Mumbai Dr Jagannathrao Hegde.

NIPER holds workshop on biopharmaceuticals
A three weeks intensive course on “Development scale up and production of Biopharmaceuticals” was recently conducted at NIPER. The course was sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC), programmes and Special Commonwealth African Assistance Plan (SCAAP) programme, informed a release.

NACO, Clinton Foundation sign pact for HIV Initiative
The National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) has forged an alliance with the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative in the area of care and treatment programme for people living HIV/AIDS in India.
