‘Genomics may aid in development of personalised therapy’
Dr Kalyanasundaram Subramanian is the Chief Scientific Officer of Strand Genomics, a leading player in India in the budding science of genomics. It has partnerships in research with many world organisations of repute. Dr Subramanian has research interests in modelling of disease states, systems biology and predictive ADME and toxicology. Prior to joining Strand, he was a senior Bio-Systems Engineer at Entelos Inc, where he headed the collaborative R&D group for immunology products. He has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from John Hopkins University, Baltimore, an MS in Chemical Engineering from State University of New York, at Buffalo and B Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. In an exclusive interview with R BabyManoj, he talks about the facets of genomics, as a potential discipline in the area of pharmaceutical science, while sharing details of his company and its products.
