receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Chemexci
lMumbai-based Ipca Laboratories Ltd received the Life Time Achievement
Award at a ceremony held recently in Mumbai. The Chemexcil (Basic
Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council)
award was received by Premchand Godha and M R Chandurkar, managing
directors of the company from Manohar Joshi (ex-chief minister of
Maharashtra and ex-Speaker of Lok Sabha).
Government
to reintroduce Bill to tackle spurious drugs
Although the Cabinet during the NDA regime has shot down the proposal
to give severe penalty including capital punishment to manufacturers/dealers
of spurious drugs, the UPA government has now decided to reintroduce
the Bill in the Parliament.

with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd and the Bangalores
Narayan Hrudayalaya to launch a first of its kind medical insurance
scheme for the rural poor.
