Drum Dryers

M/S Shanta Flaker and Dryer Co Ltd offers a new series of drying system. The main work the drum dryer does is that it removes efficient water and solvents from a wide variety of solutions and suspensions. Drum Drying is usually the most economical method for Drying an endless list for chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals, etc.

Principles of Operation

The Feed stock is introduced into a single or twin steam heated drum/s in a uniform film by use of variety of feeding devices and arrangements depending upon the material to be dried. The moisture is dried off in less than one revolution and the dried solid is removed usually in the form of a thin sheet/powder by a Doctor Blade.

Drum: Material of Construction

The construction of a Drum can be a mild steel, stainless steel/without hard chrome plating. Surface will be machined and ground finished. Drum rotating on anti friction self Aligning ball/roller bearing with standard housing. This construction ensures lifelong alignment. The blade of the Drum Dryer are known as Doctor Blade and they depend upon compatibility Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Gum Metal, etc.

Drive

Heavy duty drive is designed for smooth continuous and trouble free running with Gear / Motor. Variable speed adjustment is provided.

Fluid Bed Dryer

Compared to conventional batch and other continuous drying method, fluid - bed technology offers several advantages such as:

• no product lump formation/caking
• no particle overheating/cooling
• a well defined product residence time
• uniform product quality
• better energy economy due to lower specific heat requirements etc.

What is fluidisation?

In 'Fluid - Bed' the material is suspended in an upward moving Hot - air and the mass behaves like a boiling fluid after 'Fluidisation'. Thus, Fluidisation is basically a state of dynamic balance of solids in fluid.

Quantity of fine solids in a form of bed are placed on a distributor plate and hot - air is passed slowly. The bed expands and then at certain stage starts moving vigorously. This is the state of fluidisation.

Principle of Operation

The Fluid - Bed - Dryers are most suitable for Drying granular, crystalline, coarse or similar material. It is also possible to dry very fine crystals or very coarse material. The air is passed from the bottom of the container, therefore, the turbulence in the product is obtained, and hence the product moves up and down in the product container. Due to this the heat transfer is very quick and the product is dried very fast without appreciable loss of heat. The Fluid - Bed - Dryers are not suitable for drying liquids or pasty materials.

Oil Sealed Rotary High Vacuum Pumps

Acmevac offers a wide range of Oil Sealed Rotary High Vacuum Pumps. This series of vacuum pumps are rotary sliding vane, oil immersed type and are available in single and double stage construction. These pumps are ideal for handling dry and clean air. Exhaust valve is designed to eliminate 'rapping' noise. Unique construction of the pump totally eliminates the sucking of air through the shaft seal. These pumps can also be operated with SAE - 30 motor oil. Water cooling arrangement can be provided if required at extra cost. Application of these pumps include chemical, pharmaceuticals, electrical, electronics, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Turbine Blowers/Exhausters

Acmevac Sales Pvt Ltd have now extended the range of their Turbine Blowers/Exhausters and these are now available from 0.5 hp. These are regenerative Blowers and can be used for Vacuum or pressure applications.

The impeller is directly mounted on the motor shaft itself. There are no rubbing parts and hence these Blowers are practically maintenance free and absolutely oil free. Noise levels are considerably reduced as silencers are provided. These Blowers are particularly useful in areas where oil - less, continuous non - pulsating air flow is required.

Applications include Air Tables, Agitation/Aeration, Vacuum hold down and pick up. Air blow off, Aquaculture, Pneumatic conveying etc.
