Ministry
assigns NIPER to study TRIPs impact
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India has assigned
National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)
to conduct a systematic study of the various aspects of the TRIPs
agreement, analyse its impact on the pharmaceutical prices in India
and suggest remedial measures, informed a press release.

The NGO Project Concern Internationals (PCI) AIDS Walk for
Life, an AIDS awareness campaign recently entered Maharashtra. Various
film personalities including Preity Zinta, Vivek Oberoi, Anil Kapoor,
John Abraham and Revathi Menon paid tribute to the walk which began
in New Delhi on December 1, 2004.
