Sanskriti 2005: Dawn of Pharma Culture

The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board H(S)NCB’s College of Pharmacy, had celebrated first college annual day - Sanskriti-2005 on Friday, 25th February 2005.

Several eminent personalities like Dr A.D. Sawant - Pro Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University was the Chief Guest; Dr G.L. Telang - Managing Director, Roche Scientific Co. Ltd was the Guest of Honour, along with Prof. J K Bhambhani - Rector and Secretary, H(S)NCB presided over the function.

Besides Prof. Dinesh Panjwani, Principal, CHM College; Prof. A.B. Patil, Principal, Institute of Technology; Dr C.V. Achhra, Principal, Prin. K.M. Kundnani Pharmacy Polytechnic, and the respected board members of H(S)NC were also present at the function.

The event attracted many sponsors, Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Roche Scientific Co.Ltd. Educational Book Centre being some of them.

The following were the highlights of the event:

  • Announcement of the formation of first ever “Student’s Aid Fund” in college for the benefit of academically deserving but financially lacking students.
  • Announcement of “Book Bank” for students, which entitles them to library textbooks as well as other books for the whole academic year.
  • Release of first Annual Newsletter: “Pharma Beats” at the hands of honourable chief guest Dr A.D. Sawant, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University.
  • Various cultural events followed by the traditional “lighting of the lam” by the chief guest.
  • Chief Guest, Dr A D Sawant, Pro Vice Chancellor, Mumbai University, gave a very enlightening speech, highlighting the need of the day in pharma academics.
