NABL’s new accreditating standard effective from June
In a bid to improve services offered by medical laboratories in terms of quality and competency, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has come up with a new international accreditation standard, ISO 15189:2003, specially designed for the medical laboratories.

ISRO to set up 100 more telemedicine centres across the country
In an attempt to bring urban medical expertise to backward rural areas, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is setting up 100 more telemedicine centres across the country with the help of the central government.
