The recent spate of US FDA clearances for Indian anti-retroviral
drugs opened up a host of new foreign markets to the manufacturers
giving hope to the industry to eventually penetrate the US market

gets DCGI approval for anti-diarrhoeal drug
Chandigarh-based Ind-Swift has received approval for its quinoline-derivative,
anti-diarrhoeal plus antibacterial drug, from the Drug Controller
General of India (DCGI). The drug has successfully completed
all stages of clinical trials and the company expects to launch
it next month, informs V K Mehta, Managing Director, Ind-Swift.
