Anemone Pharmaceuticals announce plans to expand reach

With a mission to cover India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the Director of Anemone Pharmaceuticals, S Mahesh said, “Although we have suffered a small setback in this year's budget, in the financial year 2006-07, we intend to expand operations to an estimated Rs 50 crore.” The target growth for the company therefore exceeds 50 percent.

The organisation has manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh, but hopes to increase reach by means of a better distribution network through franchise marketing. Not only will that prove useful for the domestic clients of Anemone, a wide spread reach Mahesh believes would also attract some MNC clientele.

Mahesh indicates that Anemone's manufacturing premises has already been audited by some MNCs, and while the company cannot export to the high regulated markets such as Europe and US, the organisation certainly has its eyes set on a few others, such as, Africa and the Middle East.

Currently manufacturing about 150 molecule, this contract manufacturer has its heart set on big goals. “We offer already built and readily available solutions that meet all the statutory quality requirements,” affirms Mahesh.
