Problems
The WTO agreement brought with it new patent laws and corresponding
expectations. If the industry has to adhere to new regulations
it requires infrastructural support from the government authorities.
Unfortunately the much called for over-haul of infrastructure
and attitude of the patent offices hasn't come in sync with
the regulations. Dr Rajendran, Head Knowledge Cell,
USV, recently wrote this letter to the patent authorities,
but is still awaiting response
