Glenmark gets tentative approval for Ondansetron

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, USA has received tentative approval from the USFDA for its ANDA for Ondansetron Hydrochloride Tablets of four milligram (base), eight milligram (base) and 24 milligram (base). Ondansetron Hydrochloride tablets are the generic version of GSK's Zofram tablets. Ondansetron Hydrochloride belongs to a category of anti-emetics and is prescribed to help control nausea and vomiting. The drug had an annual sale of about $640 million, based on IMS data for the 12 months ending June 30, 2006.
