M R Healthcare: Achieving at a fast pace

Achal Agrawal
, Director

M.R. Healthcare is established as a pharmaceutical wing of M.R Group. M.R. Group is a pioneer in manufacture and export of Berberine hydrochloride for last five decades. Berberine hydrochloride has wide range of pharmacological actions ranging from being antibiotic, antifungal, antidiarrhoeal, antinflammatory, antidiabetic, antihypertensive and anticholestrol to being highly effective in treating ocular trachoma infection and conjunctivitis.

M.R.Healthcare was launched by Pradeep Agarwal and Achal Agarwal, the promoter directors, who have vast experience in bulk drugs and formulations and are well known figures in Indian crude herbs industry. The company came with a bang in Indian Pharma scene. Today, M.R. Healthcare has proved itself as a fast growing pharmaceutical company, which has grown from strength to strength and diversified its activities.

Emergence in Uttarakhand

Dr. A C Agrawal,

CEO

The company was started with a purpose to serve mankind. While Uttarakhand was declared as an excise free zone and pharma capital, the company decided to establish its feets here in order to provide best pharmaceutical services at best prices. "It is of ultimate benefit to the common people as they can get quality medicines at competitive prices when ever required," says Dr A.C. Agarwal, CEO, M.R. Healthcare. The proximity of Uttarakhand with New Delhi and other major cities acted as an additional feature for the company to decide on building its manufacturing plant in this excise free zone. "The connectivity helps in procuring the requirements easily," tells Agarwal. The company also believes that a company will only prosper when its employees are in good health and hence the pollution free environment of Uttrakhand played a major role in the decision.

Infrastructure

M.R. Healthcare has constantly developed its manufacturing facilities. It has a state of art plant well equipped with the ultramodern manufacturing facilities and constructed in total compliance with WHO/GMP norms. The Manufacturing facility has been designed to formulate different dosage form of Beta Lactam which includes tablets, capsules, and dry syrup and dry powder injection. The Non Beta Lactam segment includes tablets, capsule, liquid oral and ointment range of products. Company is planning to manufacture a range of antibiotics, anti cholesterol, anti hypertensive, anti inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, anti diarrhea, anticancer and B-complex drugs. The company also has plans to include ayurvedic section as well as cosmetic section in M.R. Healthcare.

Quality is our strategy

The company believes that when quality is in the vision competition does not stand any where. While Uttarakhand has been declared excise free zone, many big pharma players shifted its operations giving rise to intense competition. The company survived this competition with its commitment to quality. " The competition in quality of the products has increased with more companies in this zone," says Agarwal. The company has made its best efforts to provide best quality drugs to people and at most economical prices. "For us quality and commitment is the way of life and to reach at the zenith is the motive of life. We dedicate ourselves to the noble cause of serving mankind and in this path we wish to be among the elites," adds Agarwal.

Opportunities Galore

An opportunity galore for the Indian pharmaceutical industry as it is playing a major role in today's world pharmaceutical scene. "Indian pharmaceutical industry would not have achieved such significant growth without the government backing by way of policy support," opines Agarwal. "We are highly grateful to the government of India and government of Uttarakhand for declaring Uttarakhand as Excise Free Zone and as Pharma world is going to touch a market of about 40,000 crores by the end of 2007 and we would also like to have a little share of it," adds Agarwal. The company is planning its final stage of tie-ups with many MNCs on third party or loan licensing basis. The company believes that all this has been possible without the supportive policies of the government.
