Jubilant signs agreement with Syngenta

Jubilant Organosys has entered into a multi million-Dollar
long-term agreement with Syngenta for the supply of pyridines. The new contract
starts from early 2008 and covers an extension period of up to five years. During
this tenure, Jubilant will continue supplying the products to Syngenta. Pyridines
and their derivatives form a part of Jubilant's growth platform under its custom
research and manufacturing segment. The company offers both proprietary products
and exclusive synthesis options to life science companies in this segment. Currently,
Jubilant has the largest integrated manufacturing facilities for these products
in India. Recently, Jubilant had expanded its production capacity for pyridines
and picolines to 42,000 TPA and this contract would significantly improve the
use of the additional capacity. With this multi-year contract and increased
capacities Jubilant emerges as the largest player in pyridines worldwide.

represent the high growth area for Jubilant within pharmaceutical and life science
products business.
