Kolkata based Stadmed Private Limited is a name to reckon with in the pharmaceutical map of the country. The 60-odd year old Company enjoys goodwill for manufacturing of standard health care products.

The Company has two manufacturing units, one in Kolkata and the other one in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The manufacturing units are equipped to manufacture oral liquid, tablets, injectables, ointment and powders. Both the units are ISO 9001 2000 and GMP certified.

The product mix of the Company comprises in groups of Cardiovascular, Anti-Psychotic and Anti-Diabetic along with other traditional popular brands. The Company also manufactures some sustained release tablets. The product mix reveals that the Company has a visionary outlook in manufacturing such specialities for the first time in the eastern region.

The Company believes in rich product mix for chronic diseases. The Company has set up R & D facility to develop new drug delivery dosage forms of existing molecules and also novel drug combinations. The Company has successfully tied up with Bioequivalence centre, Jadavpur University and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India to develop newer drug dosage forms. Stadmed is also planning to enter into a technical tie-up with a renowned international organisation to set up and start the R&D operations of the Company. The main aim of the R&D Department will be to invent novel therapeutically rational combinations, different therapy rational drug delivery system, that will help to meet the recent trend of the doctor segment of different specialities. The venture is going to be a milestone in the pharmaceutical history of the region.

The Company has a good team of technical experts who are constantly working to upgrade existing formulations and manufacturing processes. The Quality Control and Quality Assurance team is extending untiring efforts for quality checking and improvement.

Some traditional brands like 'Alkasol', 'Entrozyme', 'Pulmocod', 'Mecolin' along with product like 'Zolam' (Alprazolam), 'Beta' (Atenolol), 'I.H.D.' (Iso sorbide-5-mononitrate), 'Iski (Diltiazem) S. R.' 'Linoril' (Lisinopril), 'Gliza' (Gliclazide), 'Emfor' (Metform in), 'Glyzip' (Glipzide) and many other products are enjoying confidence of doctors and patients.

Under the dynamic and innovative initiatives, Stadmed is heading towards steady progress and a phenomenal growth. The visionary outlook of the company has given it a new shape with modern touch.

In the cardiac sector, the recent addition is Losartan Potassium Plain and with Hydrocholothiazide combination. In the diabetic segment, Stadmed has added products like Glimiperide & Metformin CR preparation, Metformin 500 mg / 1000 mg SR preparation etc. The Company plans to bring in more products in its portfolio and also spread its marketing network.

The technical personnel are adequately supported by a young Product Management Team who interact frequently to be in keeping with market trend and needs. The Marketing arm of the company is strong and confident to take up challenges to get increasing market share for its products.
