Summary: After the record-breaking success of last year's debut of the CPhI India pharma services event in Mumbai, organisers CMP India (UBM India) and CMP, have added two closely complementary events—P-MEC India and ICSE India—alongside this year's CPhI India 2007.

Launches of Pharmaceutical Machinery and Equipment Convention (P-MEC India) and International Contract Services Exhibition (ICSE India) will ensure that production technology and outsourcing have key platforms next to the ingredients and API focus of CPhI India.

Event: PHARMAceutical EXPO 2007

Summary: The PHARMA-ceutical EXPO 2007, being held in concurrence to the 59th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress at Banaras Hindu University, under the flagship of FICCI, will once again bring together a gathering of more than 5,000 delegates comprising of CEO's, decision-makers, officers from regulatory authorities, pharmacists from trade and profession, R&D personnel, pharmaceutical consultants, hospital administrators, top officials of central and state agencies, academicians and teachers.

The show has been extensively promoted by FICCI internationally among the ASEAN and South Asian countries, as a result of which, buying delegation from Thailand, Bangladesh and Nepal are expected to visit the event.

Event: ISCR's First Annual Conference: 'Clinical Research in India - leaping into the global arena.'
Date: January 14 to 15, 2008
Venue: Hotel Hyatt Regency, Mumbai, India
Organised By: Indian Society for Clinical Research
Summary: The conference will have a one day pre-conference workshop on January 13 followed by the main two-day conference. The objective of the convention is to provide a forum for professional development of participants and contribute to raising the bar for clinical research. The convention will also provide an opportunity for networking and shape the policy environment in the country. The conference scientific committee is being chaired by Dr Arun Bhatt and Dr C N Potkar along with other members who are stalwarts in their areas of expertise. This convention will discuss updates in the field of clinical research through focused topics, national and international subject matter experts and carefully crafted scientific programme. Participants will be able to get all that they need to know about status of clinical research policy and operations in India.
