Mack Pharmatech: leaders in temperature controlled chambers

Mack Equipments have established themselves as one of the leading manufacturers in laboratory equipments of India by incorporating technological changes and being trendsetters in their product segments. The company specialises in temperature/humidity controlled chambers, catering to both models—standard prefabricated and walk-in.

Background

Mack Equipments was established by Kiran Badgujar and Manoj Chaudhari in 1999. Later, when the company's work started expanding, they took it private and re-named it Mack Pharmatech.

The company has grown thanks to the combined skills of the partners. Chaudhari has a vast knowledge of the company's equipments and Badgujar has a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, coupled with a sound understanding with various commercial aspects. In addition, the duo was joined by Deviprasad Patra in 2000, whose Diploma in Refrigeration Engineering, helped Mack to develop it's unique design for all equipments. This makes it different from the competition.

Network

At present Mack occupies a modern 6,000 sq ft manufacturing unit at Waliv, Vasai (E) and an administration and marketing office at Thane, both in Mumbai. Maharashtra. The company is ISO 9001: 2000 certified and is the first Indian company to launch CE certified products. It has sales offices at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Nasik

Services

Mack is committed to provide pre sales and post sales technical services to the customers.

As part of the pre sales technical services, the technically qualified sales team understands the customer's requirement and accordingly offers the best suitable equipment on the basis of the test requirements, load in the chamber, future expansions and availability of space. Post-sales technical services include assistance in installation, documentation and training for the equipment and providing protocol for IQ, OQ, PQ and DQ.

The company also provides the customer with a copy of the operating manual including technical literature on all the components of the system.

Training

In addition to the operating manual, Mack also trains the customer in proper operation of the system and with required periodic preventive maintenance. The logic of the system is explained to the customer.

Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)

After the warranty period, the company offers a complete Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) assigned to keep the equipment in working condition. The AMC is done by trained personnel from the service department.

Service Network

Mack equipments are sold and serviced through a network of trained and qualified representative and service representative at defined territories. Additional service backup and support is also available to these service representatives from the service department. Mack has service centres at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Vishakhapatnam

Future prospects

The company has recently participated in exhibitions at Vietnam and Indonesia. According to a company spokesperson, they have also finalised one dealer in Indonesia. The team from Indonesia will be visiting Mumbai shortly with their marketing team for training and once done, Mack expects a few export orders from this client. The company is also going to target South East and Middle East.
