DHL wins INTTRA 'Customer of the Year 2007' Award

DHL announced that its global forwarding business unit—the international market leader in air and ocean freight—won the coveted INTTRA 'Customer of the Year 2007' Award recently, in Mumbai. This latest award follows other recent recognition of DHL Global Forwarding Ocean Freight initiatives to tap opportunities in e-commerce.

INTTRA is the leading global provider of e-commerce solutions to ocean carriers and their customers. INTTRA offers a comprehensive range of e-commerce tools including tender, sailing schedules, booking, shipping instructions, bill of lading, track and trace, and reports.

The INTTRA award recognises initiatives to streamline and standardise shipping processes by utilising e-commerce to improve service and efficiency for customers the world over. The award also recognises DHL for taking several initiatives to seamlessly offer the INTTRA advantage to its customer through DHL Global Forwarding in India. DHL Global Forwarding activities are complemented by transport-related, value-added services such as customs brokerage, cross-docking, pick-up and delivery or cargo insurance to ensure the seamless transfer of cargo across borders.

"This award speaks volumes about our commitment to respond to the evolving needs of our customers," said Christoph Remund, COO of DHL Global Forwarding in India.

"It is a fitting tribute to the dedicated teams at DHL who put tremendous effort every day to ensure that we continue to provide superior value and innovative customised solutions," he added.
