Troikaa's R&D gets DSIR recognition

Our News Bureau - Mumbai

Troikaa has received recognition for its in-house R&D facility from the Department Of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) under the Ministry of Science and Technology. "This accreditation speaks of Troikaa's excellent track record of research work on new drug delivery system and the stupendous infrastructure available," said Ketan Patel, Managing Director, Troikaa.

R&D centre currently focuses on manufacturing high quality critical care injectibles, tablets and topical prepara-tions through proprietary technology platforms like Lipisol, Matrix and many more. The formulations developed from these platforms are unique as well as superior to conventional formulations available in the market.

It is through this R&D facility that the company had developed aquatech technology, painless Diclofenac 1ml ie painkiller injection called DYNAPAR AQ. Troikaa enjoys an Indian patent on the 1ml Diclofenac ampoule and is seeking a patent in another 107 countries across the world.

As a result of this latest recognition, the in-house R&D unit of Troikaa would be eligible for corporate tax exemptions against the expenditure incurred on R&D activities, giving it a further boost. It would also help enhance export of its innovative products.
