Ambica Pharma Machines

Ashok Mistry, Chairman and Managing Director, Ambica Pharma Machines

Ambica Pharma Machines (formerly known as Ambica Machine Tools) has been manufacturing washing machines, powder/liquid filling machines, cap sealing machines, labelling machines, dosing cup placement machines for the pharma industry for 39 continuous years now. The company is acknowledged as the pioneer in development and manufacture of pharmaceutical machinery, particularly for labelling. Since its inception in 1969, Ambica has designed several machines; establishing itself as one of the leading manufacturers of high quality labelling/powder filling machines for pharma, chemical and other industries in the process. Ambica was founded by late Kalidas Mistry, who was posthumously honoured with the award of Innovator in the 41st Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at Mumbai in 1989 for launching the first ever Indian made automatic high speed wet glue labelling machine. Presently, his son, Ashok Mistry, is the Chairman and Managing Director of the company and is responsible for the substantial growth of the company. Ambica has been posting incredible growth rates, as much as 150 percent in the past couple of years, mainly because of foreign sales and has also noticed a new interest from the US market, in particular, for its filling machines. The company enjoys the top slot in the industry because of its established reputation for superior quality, maintenance free machines and innovative designs.

Ambica's factory is equipped with modern plant and machinery for indigenous manufacturing for its machinery. The company believes that customer satisfaction is the core element of each business transaction, which is why it follows Good Engineering Practice and has expanded its plant and machinery in such a way that the end user gets more precise output and trouble free operation from the company's machines. Hence, keeping in mind the new small-scale companies that are emerging in the market, Ambica is also engaged in the development of a new and economical low-speed semi-automatic wet glue and sticker labelling machine.

The company is committed towards implementing, maintaining and continuously improving its quality management systems as per ISO 9001:2000 standards and towards fulfilling all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. With a steadily increasing client base, the company has been following stringent regulations and recognises the need to upgrade its facilities in order to acquire faster, cleaner, and safer machines for production.
