InformEx-2009 to be held in Ahmedabad

After 25 years of enhancing the pharmaceutical and chemical industry in the US, InformexUSA will hold its first India edition in March next year. The three day InformEx-2009 will be organised at the University Grounds, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from March 12th 2009.

Speaking at the launch, Gujarat state minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat, Jaynaryan Vyas said, "With this event—InformEx India-2009—we intend to draw the attention of the global pharma industry toward Gujarat." Joint secretary Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat Mona Khandhar said, "We are expecting participation from China, Korea, Japan, US, Europe, Brazil, Argentina and Chile and have talked to national level associations.''

"An environment will be created to maximise productivity and promote business networking. The exhibition will prove instrumental in bringing new ideas, sourcing relationships and enhancing application of research and development,'' said CMD of Zydus Cadila and chairman of advisory committee of InformEx India 2009, Pankaj Patel. Patel said that it was an important chapter in the state's history and will highlight Ahmedabad's role on the industrial world map. "As a premier networking event for the chemical industry, InformEx will be designed to showcase the capabilities of high-value, high quality businesses. InformEx will put Gujarat on international speciality chemicals map,'' said M Gandhi, Managing Director, United Business Media, organisers of the event.
