Clean Room Paneling
Bioasset
Technologies provides a cost effective and state of the art cleanroom wall system
for any application. The Cleanroom Technology is focused on the requirements
of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food processing and engineering industry.
The company undertakes designing, detailed engineering including interiors,
design and execution of HVAC system and balancing equipments. They provide A-Z
services from consultancy to project completion. Its wall systems interface
with floors, ceilings, and mechanical components to provide an ultra-clean environment
with effective control of airflow, pressure, temperature, humidity, and filtration.
The panels are of various types depending on the customer requirements as thick
laminate sheets or SS sheets boxing or coving is included in the design. The
design takes into account electrical and communication cables and cutouts for
housing switches and sockets, which are flushed with the panel. Likewise, cutouts
for AHU on the top or incoming layer and return risers are also taken into account.
The AHUs are designed to suit specific classified areas, like grade C or grade
B if required. The design of the AHU system is worked out in tandem with the
civil Engineering group for slab cutouts or with cutouts on the walk able false
ceiling.
It
has range of products like modular walls (progressive and non progressive),
modular ceilings (walk able and non-walkable), modular cleanroom doors, modular
soft wall clean rooms, filter cleaning system, metal doors for conventional
clean rooms, contamination control equipment, material of construction: stainless
steel, compact laminates, pre plasticised GI sheets pre plasticised aluminum.
The other product Clean Air System makes a room completely free of infectious
bacteria and fungus, deeming it a safe place for patients and doctors. The system
destroys bacteria and fungus before, during and after an operation rendering
a germ free and sterile environment for performing the surgery. Applications
include the locations in the hospital like surgery rooms, ICCU, pre-mature baby
clinic, blood bank, pathological laboratories, etc.
While working of the system, the clean air unit draws in air at the rate of
95 cubic feet/ minute and passes it through specially designed air filters reducing
the dust particles and particulate matter in the air down to one micron. This
filtered air is now exposed to UV-C radiation of wavelength of 253.7 nanometers,
under regulated conditions, which is 100 percent germicidal on all micro-organisms.
This process reduces the bio-burden of bacteria, fungus and other micro-organisms
from several hundred colonies to near zero colony count. This dust free, bacteria
free air is pumped into the room. Its salient features are; near zero bacteria,
fungus and dust at the flip of a switch, absolutely hassle free and adiation
free system. The other beneficial point is near to total sterility within 30
minutes in a 1000 Cu.ft. operation theatre/ closed enclosure. Other features
include dust reduction to one micron, continuous noiselessness in operation
theatre, besides which it sterilises any fresh influx of air into the OT and
helps in preventing cross infection with portable system with maximum efficiency.
At present different models available in the market are: portable standard model,
wall mounted standard model, portable with remote control model, wall mounted
with remote control and preset timer model.

EquipNet MarketPlace
Biotech companies around the world are feeling the effects of the ailing economy.
Single-product companies with only one facility and large, global firms with
multiple locations are looking for ways to cut costs and improve efficiencies.
Buying, selling, and redeploying surplus lab equipment is a sure-fire way to
save money. At the EquipNet MarketPlace, companies can search for pre-owned,
used and un-used equipment by industry, type of equipment, and even the manufacturer.
If the needed item isn't immediately available, EquipNet also provides procurement
services.
Common perception is that used equipment is something that large companies sell
and small companies buy. Although that's true, it doesn't tell the entire story.
When companies of any size close a plant or identify assets as surplus to their
ongoing operations, they are leaving money on the table if they don't recover
the maximum value of expensive lab equipment. Without an asset management system,
companies sometimes purchase equipment that they already own that is sitting
idle at another location. Software like EquipNet's Asset Redeployment Management
System (ARMSTM), helps companies knows what they have and where it's located.
This proprietary software helps multiple departments' access information from
the comfort of their desktop and avoids the unnecessary cost of purchasing duplicate
equipment. Even if the companies don't already own a needed piece of equipment,
they can often purchase a pre-owned item from another biotech firm at a significant
discount over buying it new. Potential buyers tell EquipNet the make, model,
and condition of the items they want to buy along their desired price range
and time frame and the professional sales team at EquipNet becomes a personal
shopper. When a piece of equipment on the search list becomes available, EquipNet
notifies the buyer and will even negotiate the price, handle the sales transaction,
and arrange shipping and logistics.
More and more, industry leaders such as Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, and Bristol-Myers
Squibb, are taking advantage of the secondary market as a major source of savings
and cost avoidance. With locations in India, Singapore, Europe, North America,
and the Caribbean and multiple asset disposition projects happening simultaneously
all over the globe, EquipNet is uniquely qualified to be a very cost effective
resource for any biotech company's equipment needs.

Pam Glatt introduces R&D model GMPC II for tablet coating
Pam
Glatt launched GMPC II - one more Glatt technology in India and selected international
markets for tablet coating applications. GMPC II will complement the recently
launched GC SMART series of high efficiency tablet coating technology.
GMPC-II is designed exclusively for lab and pilot scale applications for film
and sugar coating on tablets in the same machine, thus making scale up easy.
Special design sintered drums are available for pellet coating applications.
GMPC II is based on the same principle and technology as of GC Smart, thus making
linear scalability to production levels very easy.
GMPC II has features: Unique airflow pattern, fully perforated drums, GCSD nozzles,
quick changeover of drums, excellent cleanability and GMP compliance and same
level of PLC control systems with data storage as on production models to facilitate
smooth scale up. GMPC II available with multiple drums to choose from 2 litres,
9 litres, 24 litres, and 56 litres, which gives the flexibility of processing
small quantities of 750 gms to pilot scale of 30 kgs of material in the same
machine just by changing the drums. The drum change over is as fast as 2 minutes.
The unique airflow pattern helps customers achieve higher coating efficiency
by eliminating spray drying. Once the coating process is developed on GMPC II,
it becomes extremely easy to commercialise the same on GC Smart production models
so that customer can benefit from the very high efficiency levels of >98
percent, extremely fast process cycles and reduction in operating cost. GC Smart
will save millions of dollars by reducing the consumption of coating materials
and utilities apart from enhancing the productivity multi fold. Glatt International
(Europe) have been successfully innovating process technologies for the pharmaceutical
market for last 50 years. The various unique features on GMPC II & GC Smart
coaters are the result of Glatt's 3 decades long experience in to tablet coating.
