GRP Pipe

Fibetc an India arm of Tiaano company design manufacturing, testing and supply of GRP mandrels or dies (moulds) in the brand name of Tiaano for fibreglass filament wound (GRP) pipe manufacturers. Its composite mandrels will have extended end shanks and centre-less grinded with taper of three mm to 10 mm.

The company have the capacity to make 60 to 70 numbers of mandrels per annum, diameter range from DN-300 mm to DN-1600 mm with the maximum length of 12.5 meters.

GRP Mandrel is manufactured with appropriate thickness; by using composite materials. The surface of the materials built layer by layer by using CSM, WRM and filament winded with direct roving as a polyester resin composite. After curing, the FRP layer will be machined with suitable taper and ground to polished finish for easy extraction purpose. Its materials are to be used for making GRP pipes, as per BIS 14402 : 1996 standard and specification.

The company also make mandrels as per customer requirement and also produce 45 mm - 300 mm steel moulds with 12.5 metes length, capable of manufacturing FRP pipes confirming to IS 14402 / IS 12709 standards. They can produce coupler mandrels with three meter, six meter length and outer diameter as per customer requirement (maximum 1.6 m) without taper (straight mandrels).

Platinised Titanium and Niobium Anodes

The Platinised titanium and niobium anodes are used as insoluble anodes in modern electroplating baths for hard chromium plating of rotogravure cylinders and piston rings etc. Chromic acid solutions, which are containing Sulphuric acid, are used as electrolyte.

For hard chromium plating of rotogravure or piston rings - its semicircular anodes are very well adapted to the cylinder shape cathodes. In principle, there are different types of anodes are used with one or two bows.

The platinum layer is produced of molten platinum salt by means of the procedure up to 20 micron thick. The platinised titanium or platinised niobium (if the bath contain higher rate of fluorides), will perform.

Dense crystalline layer structure and thereby good mechanical properties; even metal distribution of the platinum layer and optimal adhesion of the ti mesh; long lasting per one million Ah are removed per bath) and dimensionally stable. The base material or substrate is reusable after re-plating. For this products no maintenance of anodes is necessary; constant conductivity of the anodes; very short distance from the electrode to the articles (cylinder - 4-6 cm). Chrome plating is essentially faster and a chrome layer is very even (cause an even current distribution and enable the use of a higher current density), due to the constant electrolyte flow through anode mesh.
