Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (IPER)
has recently conferred the IPER Outstanding Performance award for the year 2007-08
to Dr Praful Naik, Executive Director, Bilcare Research, and S Yavalkar, Deputy
secretary (Tech)., Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education Mumbai. Every
year the IPER holds the gold medal distribution function to value innovation
and honour practical application.
Naik- is responsible for all scientific affairs of Bilcare Research worldwide
and has done a lot for the development of pharmacy profession in India. He is
also associated with Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of
Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and Indian Pharmacy graduate association
(IPGA) 54th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress 2002 at Pune and 59th Indian Pharmaceutical
Congress 2007 organised by APTI at BHU Department.
Yavalkar has also worked as Assistant Director (Technical)
under the World Bank Assisted project "State process Champion" for
developing strategic management plan for the state under Canada - India Industry
Institute linkage project, He has been a Member Secretary of various state level
courses committee of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE)
and state level equivalence committee.
IPER aims to impart expert, technical knowledge in order to create practical
and effective professionals of the future in pharmacy field. Its guiding principles
are implemented throughout every course the institute conducts. IPER's tailor-made
pharmaceutical management courses are suited to all aptitudes and interests
and open the doors for high reward placement opportunities in the pharma industry.
More than 100 faculty members of the institute come from different branches,
like pharma production, marketing, product promotion, R&D, projects, quality
control and quality assurance, regulatory, purchase, stores and packaging departments.
Currently, more than 4,000 students have registered for various diplomas run
by the institute.
