Rockwell executive wins 'Partner of the Year' award
The
Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) honoured Mark Moriarty of Rockwell
Automation as its 2009 'Partner of the Year' in recognition for his significant
contributions and support of CSIA. Moriarty was recognised at CSIA's 16th annual
Executive Conference recently held in Naples, Florida.
The association is committed to control system integration companies and their
implementation of best practices that provide industrial manufacturers with
a low-risk channel for the application of technology.
"Mark has contributed so much of his time and energy to promoting the values
of CSIA both within Rockwell Automation and the end-user community," said
Ed Diehl, Executive Board Chair, CSIA. "He truly is a significant partner
in supporting the efforts of our organisation and is very deserving of this
recognition."
In addition to volunteering his marketing background to promote CSIA's brand
image, Moriarty was instrumental in motivating system integrators to complete
the certification process, and has actively engaged end users to help them understand
the advantages of leveraging CSIA-certified integrators.
"There is always risk when you hire a third party," said Moriarty,
Manager of System Integrator/Solution Provider Programmes Rockwell Automation.
He continues that, "Certification helps reduce this risk as it identifies
organisations that have proven to excel in important areas, such as project
management, quality control and technical competency." Moriarty is also
helping drive the adoption of CSIA certification through the Rockwell Automation
Solution Provider programme. The solution provider programme, part of the company's
PartnerNetwork framework, is open to system integrators that possess the knowledge,
resources and skills required to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions
to end users.
