Hand sanitizer SHYLD from ICPA

ICPA Health, a leading pharmaceutical company in the dental and stomatological market has launched a new range of hand sanitizer from its OTC division, SHYLD. It is an alcohol based hand sanitizer proven to be effective in killing the H1N1 swine flu virus found in pigs.

The World Health Organisation has warned that a third of the world would be affected by the end of the H1N1 pandemic. India's swine flu toll touched 575 when two more Influenza A (H1N1) virus deaths were reported from Rajasthan. After a month of winter and temperature dip, experts feel that the threat of swine flu is waning. With only three patients on ventilator across the state since November, there is no indication of the much dreaded second wave of the flu which was expected in winter. Taking precautionary measures such as cleanliness, personal hygiene, effective use of Tamiflu (a prescription medication for flu treatment and prevention of the flu in adults and children aged 1 year and older) it is expected that there would be no further cases of swine flu.

SHYLD is available in three variants, Cologne Fresh, Aqua Pure and Ocean Breeze. It will be accessible to people at leading chemists and general merchants across the city of Pune and Mumbai. The company has an eye to make Shyld nationally available from next year.

SHYLD is in the form of a liquid gel which can clean hands with just one drop rubbed on your hands. Shyld is proven to not only clean bacteria and virus but make your hands 99.9% germs-free. It is put together in quality packaging material to ensure that they maintain their chemical property for longer period of time.

On the launch of Shyld hand Sanitizer, Abha Mehta, CEO, ICPA said, "Shyld antibacterial hand sanitizer is an effective way to "wash one's hands" when traditional soap and water are not available".

Shyld can be best utilized in hospitals, school- colleges, offices, malls, homes especially family owning a pet and also in public areas as it is convenient to use, portable and is hassle free. The antibacterial sanitizer also keeps your hand soft and moisturized.
